The source domain
A network operator acquires or controls a domain, typically because it has an existing backlink history or other characteristics they believe make it useful. The site is rebuilt or maintained with content so it can be crawled and indexed.
The placement
A contextual PBN link is usually placed inside an article. Commercial services may let the buyer provide a target URL and anchor text. The surrounding page, internal links, and topical relevance affect how natural and useful the placement appears.
Discovery and reporting
Search engines and third-party crawlers discover links by crawling source pages. Google Search Console can eventually show linking domains, while third-party tools maintain their own indexes and may discover a link at different times.
What does not happen automatically
A new backlink does not guarantee a ranking increase. Search engines evaluate many signals, may ignore or devalue links, and can take action against patterns that violate spam policies. Timing claims should therefore be treated as provider claims, not promises.
The buyer’s job
Evaluate the source, anchor, destination, and overall backlink profile before ordering. A technically crawlable link is not automatically a good link.
